Abstract

The following thesis deals with continuing education and training in the context of enterprises or vocation. Firstly we will emphasize the *state of the art” for Continuing Education Policy. Thereafter the outcomes of an empirical research project for continuing education and training within small and medium enterprises (SME) will be highlighted. Finally this leads to a discussion, whether and which specific support from the side of Continuing Education Policy seem appropriate or appreciated relating to the view of the responsible staff for Human Resources or Continuing Education in Swiss SME.
