Educational Attachment and Parental Affiliation: Example of an Associative Mediation in Primary School
Abstract
A qualitative research on an association practices in the Paris region has highlighted the value of a mediator response to school dropout. By emphasising cooperation between parents and professionals, this intervention aims to assist the schooling of primary school students and their parents in situations of vulnerability. Our comprehensive approach analyses the processes involved in this coeducative relationship. Valuing the relational dimension, the association has relied on collective dynamics. Reciprocity in cooperation could initiate a process of affiliation of these parents.
