The advantage of using this term is for the advancement of research on didactics of the written word. It exposes what is theoretically at stake concerning this term: the principal courses of thought and debates under way. Finally, considering the examination of recent works, there is a tendency to highlight the many movements within didactic research material. It is the usage of this term that has permitted just that. It has been concluded that it is necessary to construct concepts that are more likely to consider literacy, its forms of usage and its modes of transmission in different societies.
