Abstract

Finite Element Method (FET) is a technique for calculating problems of structural mechanics in ingeneering. A web-based course has been developed to introduce this method. Pedagogic support for advice and evaluation of course development was set up from the beginning. The position of this support within the interdisciplinary team and the evaluation will bejustified and the results described. The evaluation proceeds mainly through content-analytical methods. The attribution of the learning and advisory experiences of the persons involved were examined in various phases of the project and compared with the aims of the lessons. The resulting interpretations were used for optimising the development of the course and for clarifying the change of conditions for the FET course with use of eLearning sequences.
