«It‘s not that easy»: Academic discourse practices in class

The paper deals with the study of language practices in the classroom and focuses on the concept of academic discourse practices. The focus is on selected transliterated sequences from a video study examining teaching practices of academic language support. The analysis shows that teachers, both during phases of whole-class work and individual work, offer pupils to participate actively in academic discourse practices.
