Supportare l’apprendimento delle competenze linguistiche in tutte le materie e per tutti gli studenti

Abstract

Students may differ significantly with respect to their cognitive and linguistic abilities. Teachers are thus faced with major challenges. Language-sensitive teaching and integrating content and language learning plays an outstanding role in overcoming this heterogeneity. In this paper, we discuss the still vague construct of integrating content and language learning with regards to its theoretical and empirical foundations. Finally, we outline conclusions for practice.
